20 Percent hike in natural gas prices for the industry sector
The authority has announced a 20 percent hike in natural gas used in power generation plants and industry. The price of natural gas used in housing has not changed. The tariff table for December was published on the website of the Oil Transportation Association (BOTAŞ) by Pipelines.
Accordingly, there was a 20 percent hike in the tariff on natural gas used for electricity generation by large industrial and commercial organization subscriber groups and electricity generation. The sales price applied by BOTAŞ to gas distribution companies for residential consumers has not changed.
BOTAŞ had also raised the natural gas used in industrial and electricity production by 48 percent in November. Thus, the increase rate that came in 2 months was 68 percent in total.
