The government has given another hike to booze

Özgür Aybaş, President of the Turkish Monopoly Dealers Platform, announced the increase in alcoholic beverages in the Brown-Forman group. He said “I can’t comment anymore.”

Aybaş also included the new price list, which will be valid from December 3, in his social media post, “I don’t comment on the price hike anymore”he said.

On November 1, Efes group, on November 7, Mey/Diageo group and on November 26, Pernod Ricard group had made raises for their products.

Aybaş included the following statements in his share:

“We are getting used to the hikes tremendously, like the frog story every incoming customer asks “do we have a hike.” These hikes will not stop, illegal production will increase, the state will cause billions of TL of damage, deaths from bootleg will increase, our products will no longer be sold. Ethyl alcohol is prohibited, but it is sold. Addicted drinkers will not be able to escape diseases and deaths after a while.”
