3 best and worst performing stocks in Istanbul Stock Market last week revealed
The Borsa İstanbul BIST 100 Index, while focusing on the agenda and data last week, lost 0.74% on a weekly basis. The banking index gained 1.24% on a weekly basis, while the industrial index saw a loss of 1.51%.
Among sector indices, the most significant weekly gain was seen in the financial leasing and factoring index, which rose by 9.31%, while the technology index saw the largest loss, down by 5.27%.
Top 3 Gaining Stocks Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, the top three with the highest gains during the week were led by Margün Enerji (MAGEN) with a 9.96% increase, followed by Tekfen Holding (TKFEN) with a 9.44% gain, and Fenerbahçe (FENER) with an 8.52% increase.
Top 3 Losing Stocks The stocks with the biggest losses in the BIST 100 index were led by CVK Maden (CVKMD) with a 11.25% decrease, followed by Astor Enerji (ASTOR) with a 10.68% loss, and Kontrolmatik (KONTR) with a 9.17% drop.
Most Traded Stocks The trading volume in the BIST 100 index decreased compared to last week, totaling 461 billion 751 million TL.
The most traded stocks in the market were led by Turkish Airlines (THYAO) with a trading volume of 44 billion 34 million TL. Yapı Kredi Bankası (YKBNK) and Akbank (AKBNK) both had a trading volume of 32 billion 463 million TL each.
Highest Market Capitalization Stocks The total market capitalization of the BIST 100 index slightly decreased compared to the previous week, reaching 8 trillion 659 billion 927 million TL.
Among the stocks included in the index, Garanti BBVA (GARAN) had the highest market capitalization at 541 billion 800 million TL, followed by Turkish Airlines (THYAO) with 437 billion 115 million TL. Koç Holding (KCHOL) ranked third with a market capitalization of 405 billion 236 million TL.
