6 party table starts taking action: Work will be carried out on field for election security
The election security commission of the “6 party table” (opposition group) dealt with notifications about “citizens seeing people they do not know at their residences”. It was learned that said group parties checked the voter lists and “made on-site examinations”.
After citizens looked at their residence from the e-Government and encountered unfamiliar people registered at their addresses“, the election security commission of the “6 party met last week to discuss both their ongoing work and the problem of ”strangers at home”.
According to the information obtained, concerned party staffs evaluated the warnings (notices) sent to them by the citizens on the subject. Among the notifications received; it was learned that people under the age of 18 also appeared in the residences, in these cases, election security was not compromised, but just in case, the notifications were started to be checked from the voter lists.
REPORTING TO YSK (SUPREME ELECTION COUNCIL)
When the problem was detected, an on-site examination was carried out through party organizations and the problem was reported to both the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs, the Supreme Election Council (YSK) as well as other relevant state institutions. However, the staff said, “The government is also aware that there is a situation that it cannot explain. They avoid answering questions on this topic. But we regularly check the voter lists. We are looking at whether foreigners in these residences are also reflected in the voter lists.”
