Economic confidence in Turkey hits the peak of last 5 months

The economic confidence index rose by 10 percent to 104.9 as compared to previous month, hitting the highest level in five months. The index had risen above 100 in July 2017 and hit the highest value with 106.4 in August 2017 since 2012. In December, the index was at the level of 95.3.

Index with a value above 100 indicates confidence over average whereas if it is below 100 it shows a confidence level of below average.

It is estimated that the increase in the index of economic confidence has stemmed from the increases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), service, retail trade and construction sector confidence indices.
