The Associated Press, one of the leading U.S. news agencies has announced that tests are scheduled to start on patients for the corona virus vaccine as of today. The National Institute of health is funding the research to begin at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute in Seattle.

In the wake of earlier vaccine revelations from Canada and China, U.S. officials today announced that a clinical trial of vaccines intended to prevent the corona virus will begin today.

The officials shared that they would need a period of 1 year to 18 months for a potential vaccine after clinical tests adding that experiments on 45 young and healthy volunteers would begin.

The experts explained that they did this study to see if the vaccine had any side effects and said “There’s no chance that the volunteers may get sick because there’s no virus in these vaccines. The aim is just to show that vaccines don’t have harmful side effects and pave the way for larger comprehensive tests”.
