A big increase in excise taxes on alcoholic drinks and cigarettes

The excise tax rate on drinks and cigarettes has been increased.

The increase in excise duty on alcohol was 25 percent, and on cigarettes it was 10 percent.

With these hikes, the tax on 1 liter of RAKI (Turkish drink) increased by 64 TL, while the tax increase on 70lik RAKI was 45 TL.

The minimum tax amount of 71 kurus on cigarettes was increased to 78 kurus. In other words, the excise duty to be charged on a pack of cigarettes has been increased by 1.69 TL.

The excise duty amount on the beer was 4 lira 40 kurus.
