A recent projection regarding eventual vote share distribution in 2023 election
As 2023 deputy and presidential elections in Turkey are only 9 months away now, survey companies keep publishing results from polls they conduct in the field. It is often voiced that said elections are destined to be the most critical in Turkey’s history. Voters will decide if ruling AK Party will continue to govern or the opposition group called “six-party table” will take over and start a brand new performance as compared to what’s happening today.
Among said survey companies MAK consultancy is known to be highly reputable and much appreciated in the sector also thanks to the very active performance of its CEO Mehmet Ali Kulat. Down below we would like to share some very important notes shared by Mr. Kulat on his Twitter account, regarding the most recent picture obtained during the company’s work in the field, most recently.

About half of the voters who voted for different parties in the last election (June 24) seem to be planning to vote for a different party in 2023 election and not the party they voted for in June 24 election…
1. Among voters who say they will vote for a different party in 2023 election, those who voted for AK Party in the June 24 election, have the highest rate.
2. Among voters who say they will vote for a different party in 2023 election and not the party they voted for in the June 24 election, those who voted the CHP and HDP in the June 24 election, have the lowest rate.
3. The party that increased its vote share the most among the parties that entered the election on June 24, is IYI Party (Good Party).
The highest rate of voters who say “My opinion may change depending on the presidential candidate” are supporters of IYI Party (Good Party).”
A BRIEF ANALYSIS OF “FINDINGS BY MAK CONSULTANCY” (Editor’s notes)
Now, looking at above findings although they may be rather too short, the picture gives us a truly valuable idea about what might happen in the coming election in 2023. Certainly, a forecast could not be considered as ultimate and it is the results to be obtained in elections that will have a huge impact on the next 4 years of the country – and even designate the direction it will follow during that period. Nevertheless, the picture says the ruling party might not be able to have another win over the opposition this time. But again, only actual results will decide who the winner will be after counting of votes in 2023 elections.
