Erdogan: Those who praise ways of life in other countries aim to collapse our social structure

President Erdogan made some very important statements at the grand-opening of a giant city hospital in Etlik Ankara, yesterday. Among many other topics the President also shared his opinions about the Turkish youth who prefer to go abroad to start a new life. Down below are the statements made by Erdoğan in regards:

“The aim of those who praise other countries, societies and lifestyles is not “to do us good”, but to destroy our social structure, which is our greatest strength. We look with pity at those who go knocking at the door of other countries with shallow/simple ambitions, such as having a better car, buying a new phone, and going to more concerts. We can imagine the regret that those who have set out on such a whim today will experience when they need mercy and compassion and cannot find a family, a social structure, a state mechanism to take refuge in, tomorrow.

Every new global crisis, every new test, every new chaos will continue to radically shake the existing order of security and prosperity, which serves only a part of the people in the world. As Turkey, believing in our own faith, our own strength, our own potential, I hope that we will survive this great transformation with the least difficulty. Then the value of this country, its value, will be understood much better. The important thing is to firmly protect our unity and brotherhood until the day when we will see this, to always take our country further, to constantly strengthen our state.”
