A world first from Pegasus with an in-flight announcement innovation

Pegasus Airlines has introduced a world first by making in-flight announcements using a cloned voice of a real captain in passengers’ native languages. On flights to destinations in Spanish, Arabic, and Russian-speaking countries, announcements will now be made in the relevant language after the English one, using the voice of a real captain cloned through artificial intelligence (AI).
The project was first launched on September 24 with the Seville flight. Passengers were greeted in Spanish by the AI-cloned voice of a real captain, saying “Welcome” and providing details about the new route. By the end of October, this system will be implemented on all relevant flights.
Pegasus Innovation Lab Launches Its First Project
Pegasus Innovation Lab, established in Silicon Valley last year with the aim of advancing new technologies and innovations in aviation, is the brain behind the voice cloning and multilingual announcement system using AI. The system, which clones the voices of both male and female captains working at Pegasus, allows dynamic announcements to be made in relevant languages tailored to each flight.
Announcements will provide passengers with details such as flight information, weather conditions, destination, captain’s name, and flight duration, all updated by AI before each flight. With this project, Pegasus offers its guests a personalized and innovative flight experience by addressing them in their native languages.
