Alanya Municipality puts disinfection tunnel into service against covid-19 crisis

While measures are being taken to reduce the impact and spread rate of the new type Coronavirus outbreak spreading rapidly all over the world, ALANYA Municipality has introduced its own disinfection tunnel for the safety of citizens.

The municipality of Alanya has added another one to the measures taken against the covid-19  outbreak, which has an effect all over the world. As a result of the work of Alanya municipality, a disinfection tunnel was placed in front of the Atatürk Monument at Government Square. The tunnel, which works with fogging method and is an important tool for disinfection of people from head to toe, was opened to service. The first person to pass through the tunnel was of Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel.

Disinfection tunnel, which provides disinfection of 12 people in 1 minute, will get rid of the viruses and bacteria hanging on citizens when they go to work or after work by this disinfecting method. The established disinfection tunnel will always be open to use during the day.

The person who wants to enter the tunnel disinfects his hands with the disinfectant at the entrance and then steps on the disinfected mop after which automatic fogging mechanism is activated by sensor detection. Disinfectant liquid from nozzles in fogging method is transformed into a fog cloud and reaches microorganisms in all areas where the fog touches without getting the person wet. The machine was made by Alanya Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Directorate.
