Annual rent increase in Turkey becomes 168 percent in November 2022

According to the report prepared by Bahçeşehir University Economic and Social Research Center (BETAM) on housing rents, the annual rent increase was calculated 168 percent, in November.

BETAM ‘published the ’rental housing market outlook’ report prepared according to the data contained on the ‘sahibinden.com website.

The outstanding findings from the report were as follows:

* While the annual increase in the average rental housing advertised m2 price in Turkey was 168 percent in November, the average rental housing advertised m2 price increased to 67 TL.

* Rents increased by 147.7 percent in Istanbul, 150 percent in Ankara and 160 percent in Izmir on an annual basis. The average rental m2 prices increased to 94.1 TL in Istanbul, 45 TL in Ankara and 65 TL in Izmir. Inflation-adjusted rental prices also increased across the country and in three metropolitan areas.
