“Ayyam-ı bahur” (dog days) is leaving, rain is coming… Thunderstorm warning for Istanbul

While the Eyyam-ı bahur temperatures are showing their effect all over the country, a torrential rainfall warning has been issued for Istanbul. According to meteorological data, thunderstorms are expected in the megacity on Thursday. CNN TURK Meteorological Consultant Prof. Dr. ,”Orhan Sen said in a statement on social media, “We will have rain in the Marmara, Western Black Sea, Inner Aegean and lakes regions on Tuesday evening, Wednesday and Thursday.”

In recent days, many cities have come under the influence of el niño, followed by Ayyam-I Bahur temperatures. While the thermometers showed 40 degrees, citizens who wanted to cool down spent time on the beaches and parks.
