Biden says Russia has decided to invade Ukraine and will target Kiev

US President Joe Biden has announced that he believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to invade Ukraine. During a press conference at the White House, Biden evaluated the latest developments in the Ukrainian crisis and answered questions from journalists.

Biden said “In recent days, we have been seeing serious violations of the ceasefire by Russian-backed forces”, arguing these forces laid the blame for the attacks in the Donbass on Ukraine.

Biden stressed that Russia was also conducting a very serious disinformation campaign, noting that these were all excuses that Russia made to attack Ukraine.

Pointing out that Russia currently had 150 thousand troops on the border of Ukraine and Belarus and in the Black Sea, Biden said: “We have reason to believe that Russia will attack in the coming weeks. we believe that Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, where 2.8 million innocent people live, will also be targeted.”
