Biontech CEO expects vaccination procedure for children to be ready by year end
BioNTech CEO Prof. Dr. Uğur Şahin predicts that the necessary procedure for vaccinating children between the ages of 5 and 11 will be completed by the end of the year.
BioNTech executive Şahin has explained that he expected the coronavirus vaccine, which is his own production, could be administered to children, between the ages of 5-11, by the end of this year.
In an interview he gave to German media, he also said “If all the data looks good and the authorities approve, I think it can happen.”
According news shared on Deutsche Welle, Sahin said they planned to obtain all necessary data for vaccine to be applied to 5-11 years of age until end of September and they wished to submit concerned data to competent authorities in Europe and the United States during this time for permission, to obtain permissions.
