Borsa Istanbul continues rising for 9th consecutive trading day, renews its peak

While Borsa Istanbul achieved its highest daily closing in history yesterday; it continues its intraday record streak today. Markets will follow the first inflation report of the year, which will be presented by the new governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), Fatih Karahan, on Thursday.

The Borsa Istanbul 100 index started the day with a rise of 0.39 percent from its record level of 8810 points; then continued its rise to reach its historical peak at 8851 points.

While the banking index increased by 0.31 percent and the holding index by 0.36 percent at the opening; they are currently trading with gains of 0.01 percent and 0.13 percent, respectively.

From a technical standpoint in the BIST 100 index, the levels of 8850 and 8900 serve as resistance, while 8700 and 8600 points serve as support.

Yesterday, Borsa Istanbul 100 index, which followed a buying trend and carried the upward trend to the 9th consecutive trading day, closed the day at 8776 points with a gain of 1.28 percent, achieving the highest daily closing in history. The index also reached its highest level at 87784 points.
