BOTAS announces big hike in natural gas price

BOTAŞ has announced an increase of 20.4 percent in price of natural gas used in residential buildings. The prices of natural gas used in industry and electricity production, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, have also increased by about 50 percent.

The natural gas tariff table for September has been published on the website of Petroleum Transportation Inc. (BOTAŞ) by Pipelines.

According to the statement, the hike list is as follows:

* 20.4 Percent for natural gas used in residential buildings
* 47.6 Percent for natural gas used in small and medium-sized enterprises
* 50.8 Percent for natural gas used in industry
* 49.5 Percent of natural gas used for electricity generation
