Turkey’s Presidential Cabinet is scheduled to meet today. It is reported that new measures are on the agenda at the presentation meeting of the ministers. Sources close to the cabinet say curfew restrictions will be imposed on May 1-2-3.

The presidential cabinet will once again meet via teleconference as part of the corona virus measures. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the meeting from the Huber Pavilion in Istanbul.

After the longest curfew restriction in the 47-day outbreak period that began on April 23 at 00.00 and ended last night at 00.00, new decisions will be taken.

Friday, May 1 is celebrated as Labor Day, a public holiday and it is expected to be combined with the weekend. In this case, a 72-hour curfew is expected to be announced in Zonguldak and 30 metropolitan areas, according to sources close to the Cabinet.

One of the topics of the meeting will be whether to extend the interval given to schools until April 30 and the flexing of the curfew imposed on those aged 65 and over.

Permission to go out in the streets is on the agenda for citizens over the age of 65, who have been banned from the streets since March 21, as well as for those with chronic illnesses.
