British tourist falls to the rocks and dies

A British paragliding in Fethiye, district of Mugla fell into a rocky area and lost his life.

Frank Lally (62) who came to Fethiye on vacation, made a paragliding flight after his preparations from Babadag’s runway at 1900 meters in the Oludeniz (Dead Sea) neighborhood.

Shortly after takeoff, other paraglider pilots who saw Lally fall into the rocky area reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon notification, Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (Dec) and National Medical Rescue (UMKE) teams were dispatched to the region.

Lally was taken from the area where he fell on a stretcher and carried to an ambulance to be further taken to Fethiye State Hospital. Despite all efforts at the hospital, he lost his life.
