Consumer confidence, rising for four months is still at the bottom

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat) and the Central Bank (MB), the consumer confidence index rose to 76.2 in October with an increase of 5.3 percent compared to the previous month. The index was recorded as 72.4 percent last month.

If the consumer confidence index is greater than 100, it indicates an optimistic state of consumer confidence, and if it is less than 100, it indicates a pessimistic state of consumer confidence. The index is evaluated between 0-200.

The index had reached its lowest level in the data history with 63.4 in June. According to the MB and TURKSTAT data, it rose from this level to 76.2 for four consecutive months.
