Corendon has successfully completed its first flight from the Belgian capital, Brussels, to Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP). The inaugural flight connecting GZP and Brussels was welcomed with a traditional water salute ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Gazipaşa District Governor Orhan Altun, Alanya Municipal Council Member Nazmi Zavlak, President of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) Burhan Sili and many more professionals in the sector.

The XC7655 flight, operated with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, arrived in Alanya with 189 passengers who were welcomed with flowers at the terminal.

“The Largest Flight Operation to GZP”

Burhan Sili, President of ALTİD, stated that the largest flight operation in the history of GZP has taken place, saying, “This is a process we have been waiting for a long time. In this regard, we thank all the employees and managers of Corendon. They have made Alanya their base, and this will create a significant capacity here. We also have different airlines coming from abroad. We thank them for the operations they organize. However, it should be noted that Corendon’s operation is the largest one so far. I hope that it will contribute greatly to our Alanya and Gazipaşa, increasing even more. Direct flights from source markets are important. With not only Corendon but also other companies coming, GZP will reach the places it deserves more quickly.”
