Earthquake in Turkey: Rescue miracle in Hatay on 12th day, 278 hours after devastating incident

RESCUE TURKEY EARTHQUAKE

Following the devastating earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş region, Turkey, many people were rescued from the wreckage. In fact, several were saved many hours after the incident. The last miracle took place in Hatay and a 45 year citizen was rescued from the wreckage of Bay building 278  hours after the quake.

Before this miracle many other unbelievable rescue stories were witnessed as well.

WOMAN RESCUED AFTER 258 HOURS

Neslihan Kılıç was pulled alive from the wreckage of the Ebrar residential complex in Kahramanamraş 258 hours after the quake. Thereafter, 3 good news came from Hatay, as well. A 10-year-old boy and 2 other men were also rescued 260 and 261 hours after the incident.

Excavator operator Adnan Eşin, who noticed Neslihan Kılıç in the wreckage, said, “While we were working there, I caught a gap. When I was following the gap, I came across a place like a bedroom. I pulled the bed, as soon as I pulled, someone raised a hand. Then this person raised 2 hands as well. I stopped. I jumped out of the machine. I went and looked at the person who was alive. I immediately notified the AFAD teams. She never spoke to me. Her face was not visible anyway.”

“WE EVEN HAD HER GRAVE DUG”

The woman’s brother-in-law whose 2 children and wife are still under the rubble said “We even had her grave dug.”

NAME OF THE MIRACLE: OSMAN

After 260 hours another miracle happened in the Ekinci Neighborhood of the Antakya (city of Hatay). A dog that was on the PAK team, reacted in the wreckage of the destroyed BUKET Building. Then, upon receiving a response to the voice calls of the teams, search-and-rescue work immediately initiated. Teams were able to pulled out the boy named OSMAN alive out of the wreckage. The rescued person was taken to Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Hospital for treatment.
