As July 2026 approaches, millions in Turkey are closely watching salary adjustments for civil servants and retirees. With the announcement of April inflation data, the four-month inflation gap has now been finalized, giving a clearer picture of the upcoming raise.

April Inflation Figures Announced

According to the latest data, monthly inflation stood at 4.84% in January, 2.96% in February, and 1.94% in March. In April, monthly inflation came in at 4.18%, while annual inflation reached 32.37%.

With these figures, cumulative inflation for the first four months of the year has reached 14.64%.

Four-Month Data Shapes Salary Expectations

With four months of inflation data confirmed, only May and June figures remain before final salary adjustments are calculated.

Based on the current 14.64% increase, a retiree receiving 20,000 TL per month would see their salary rise to approximately 22,928 TL in July.

Inflation-Based Raises for SSK and Bağ-Kur Retirees

SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees had already received a 12.19% increase for the first half of 2026. A previous parliamentary decision also raised the minimum pension to 20,000 TL.

How Raises for Civil Servants Are Determined

Salary increases for civil servants and retired civil servants are calculated based on collective agreement raises plus the inflation difference.

For the first half of 2026, civil servants received a 18.6% raise. For the second half of the year, the collective agreement increase has been set at 7%, with additional inflation adjustments expected depending on upcoming data.
