Economy in Turkey: US Dollar TL rate exceeds 21 breaking new record
The dollar exchange rate started the first working day of the week with a record, exceeding the 21 lira level. Dollar/TL is trading at 21.12, up 0.94 percent compared to its previous close on Monday. The dollar/TL rose to 21.15 during the day.
The dollar exchange rate, which finished last week at 20.92 lira, was below 20 lira before the second round of the Presidential elections on May 28.
In the Grand Bazaar, the dollar / TL is sold at the level of 21.38, while the selling rate of the banks is above 22 liras.
Euro /TL is priced at 22.70 with an increase of 0.78 percent. Euro/TL went up to 22.99 on Monday morning.
