Election in Turkey: CHP Chairman KILICDAROGLU will visit Memleket Party’s leader Ince tomorrow
KILICDAROGLU, presidential candidate of the Nationa’s Alliance will visit Muharrem INCE, presidential candidate of Memleket Party. It has been reported that the time of the visit has not yet been finalized.
Ince, who was asked to withdraw from the presidential race, stated in his last statement that he wanted to do politics and that his candidacy would continue. Ince also stated that he had not received any offer yet and noted that he was open to meeting with CHP leader.
Ince was an active member of CHP until a few years ago and in fact he ran for president against Erdogan in last presidential election which was won by current president. If Ince runs for president he is supposed to steal some votes from KILICDAROGLU, which in turn could cause the election to be repeated in a second round.
Experts say this could be an opportunity for Erdogan to win the election in the second round. Therefore there is a lot of pressure on Ince to withdraw from this race (in favor of candidate of opposing Nation’s Alliance).
