Election in Turkey: Pro-Kurdish leader in jail asks young people to start the change in first round

Jailed former HDP co-leader Selahattin Demirtas have told young people that they should not give credit to those who declare more than half of the country terrorists adding “Go to the ballot box and start the change in the first round”.

A journalist called Nevşin Mengü shared the message Demirtaş had sent to her from Edirne Prison, on Twitter.

Accordingly, Demirtaş said: “Dear Nevşin Mengü, I would like to appeal especially to young people through you against lying, slander and insult campaigns. Never give credit to those who declare more than half of a country ‘terrorists, traitors’. We are all working for democracy, equality, life together and peace. The beyond is a lie, a slander. Put these aside and go to the ballot box and start the change in the first round. We will all succeed together, we will live freely together. Greetings with a full heart…”
