After Turkey allegedly gave Azerbaijan drones to use in conflicts with Armenia, The Canadian government had warned Turkey. Officials at the Quebec-based company said they learned last week that engines made by contract manufacturers called Rotax in Austria were used in Turkish Bayraktar TB2 UAVs and made a decision on this.

The company’s vice president and spokesman told International Radio Canada, as reported by Euronews. The vice president made following statements:

“In recent days, we have been informed that the parts we produce are used in military technologies and immediately launched an investigation into this issue. During this time, we suspend sales of our parts to countries where it is unclear how they are used.

All of our aircraft engines manufactured by Rotax are manufactured entirely for civilian purposes and certified for civilian use only.
