Emergency gas from Azerbaijan to Turkey: 170 cubic meters of gas flow starts

Azerbaijan will supply Turkey with 170 million cubic meters of emergency gas at the request of the government. The supply which started with 5 million cubic meters per day in January is projected to last until the end of February.

NATURAL GAS PIPES AZERIBAIJAN

Restrictions were imposed on industrial and natural gas power plants to meet the growing demand due to the fact that Iran stopped gas supplies to Turkey as of January 20 owing to a technical malfunction and because housing consumption reached a record high due to weather conditions. In January, Azerbaijan started additional gas flow to Turkey from the Türkgözü entry point located in Ardahan.

170 MILLION CUBIC METERS OF EMERGENCY GAS

According to Bloomberg, Azerbaijan started exporting 170 million cubic meters of emergency gas to Turkey. February January, when It was reported that quantity of gas supply would be around 5 million cubic meters per day. The supply began last week of January and will last until the end of February.
