Erdogan announces his candidaacy for presidential election in 2023
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President and Chairman of the AKP, has announced that he will be the Presidential candidate of the Cumhur Alliance in the 2023 elections.
President and AKP Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke at his party’s Izmir Provincial Advisory Council Meeting. Erdogan said, “I am the candidate of the Cumhur Alliance” adding that presidential and parliamentary elections will be held in June next year.
On the other hand Erdogan called on CHP leader KILICDAROGLU saying “Announce your candidacy or candidate.”

Erdogan also said following in his speech: “I am saying this to Mr. Kemal, stop playing it unfair stop trying to dodge the column, making excuses, let your action speak not words.
It’s not about looking up in the air and walk around whistling. You can’t avoidnomination issue anymore. You’re just saying that the election date should be set. I’m telling you, the election will be held in mid-June next year.
You have nowhere to run, Mr. Kemal. You’re saying that the candidate of the Public Alliance should be unveiled. Here I am saying; the candidate of the Republican Alliance is Tayyip Erdogan.
Mr. Bahceli has repeatedly pronounced my name. What more are you looking for? You are eager to become a candidate in the 2023 elections, too. Come on, and don’t bother your party anymore, Mr. Kemal.
