New details in rental arrangement: No restrictions on first time rentals
Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag has said that the 25 percent limit imposed on the rent increase will not be applied to houses that will be rented for the first time.
According to the decision passed by the Assembly, increases above the set rate in the regulation to cover lease agreements to be renewed until July 1, 2023, will not be considered valid
Speaking to media, Bozdag’s statements were as follows:
*The regulation limiting the amount of rent increase to 25 percent will be applied until July 1, 2023, and it is a temporary regulation with no extension.
* Extension is out of the question, it was made in a temporary nature. A year later, all will return to former arrangement. It’s an exceptional situation. It applies to residents of residential buildings and residential buildings as tenants. Workplaces are subject to the current code of obligations.
