A big hike in ceiling price of air tickets

It was reported that the ceiling price of air tickets, which was previously 699 lira, was increased to 899 TL.

Uğur Cebeci an expert in aviation sector wrote that the ceiling price of domestic air tickets had been increased by 200 TL. In his column, Cebeci stated that the ceiling price was 899 TL and used the following expressions:

“The ceiling price for domestic air tickets, which was previously 699 TL one way, has been increased to 899 TL. Now Turkish Airlines and other airlines will be able to sell tickets for a maximum of 899 TL one way. Due to the increase in fuel and other increases in costs, Turkish Airlines and Pegasus, in particular, wanted to increase the ticket fare ceiling price. It was finally decided and the fee was increased to TL 899. Now, especially on summer flights, this ceiling price will also rapidly increase ticket prices.”
