The “exhausted” condition of health workers, which has become even more evident with the Covid-19 pandemic…  The fact that the system forces both patients and doctors and makes them almost hostile to each other… and doctors who find the solution to go abroad due to the current situation…

In order to overcome the negative picture experienced in health, the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), which has been trying to make its voices heard on different platforms since last year and wants to implement the ’10 urgent requests’ as soon as possible, held a ‘White Rally’ in Ankara on May 29 and this time with the participation of citizens.

Stressing that there has been a great destruction due to health policies, physicians with clinical independence have come to a pont where they do whatever the system imposes, TTB Central Council Chair-person FINCANCI said, “All this also brought with it difficulties in the access of society to health.”

“This is also seriously reflected as violence in health,” noted FINCANCI who also said that the general public saw health workers and doctors as responsible for the destruction.

800 PHYSICIANS APPLY TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY IN FIRST FOUR MONTHS

Many colleagues have found the solution in going abroad, said Prof. Dr. Fincancı making the following remarkable statement: “As of April, we have set a record; there have been 214 applications for a certificate of good behavior. The number of applicants in the first four months of the year approached 800… Going so fast, it’s a serious problem. Last year, as many physicians as the number of annual graduates of 3-4 of our major medical schools, went abroad.

As well as this, the fact that physicians leave the public sector (hospitals) creates a shortage of physicians. Soon, there will be no opportunity to get the service that we consider to be a right for citizens.”
