Erdoğan makes announcement: Turkey to practice full lock down. Turkey will go to full lock down between 29th April -17 th May.
In his speech after cabinet meeting President Erdogan said, “We are shifting to full closure for 3 weeks. The full lock-down will start at 19:0 on Thursday April 29, 2021 and continue until Monday May 17, 2021 (05: 00 in the morning)”
The 3-week full closure decisions are as follows:
* All workplaces will decommission their activities, except for the organizations with exceptions specified in the circular of the Ministry of Interior.
* All inter-city travel will be subject to permission, and inter-city public transport will be able to operate at 50 percent capacity.
* Reservations at accommodation facilities will not be an exception for curfew and long-distance travel restrictions.
* Face-to-face training will be decommissioned in all institutions, including kindergarten, nursery, 8th and 12th grades, and all exams will be postponed.
* Chain markets will be closed on Sunday, and will continue to serve at designated hours on other days.
