Erdoğan: “We expect my friend Trump to abandon former administration’s policies”

President Tayyip Erdoğan said, “We expect my dear friend Trump, in his second term, to abandon the faulty policies of the previous administration.”
Erdoğan made these remarks during the “6th International Women and Justice Summit,” organized by the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM) in Istanbul, with the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Women.” His comments, in summary, were as follows:
“We congratulated Trump on his election victory. We reminded him of Gaza and Lebanon. We expect my dear friend Trump to abandon the previous administration’s faulty policies in his second term. We sincerely believe that the president will take responsibility to end wars and hope he will do so.”
As is known, during Trump’s first term, he had put Erdoğan in difficult situations multiple times, backing him into a corner and forcing Erdoğan to take steps back on those occasions.
