Finance Minister keeps repeating same narrative: Inflation will fall from December

Mr. Necati NEBATI, Minister of Treasury and Finance said, “Inflation is gradually getting back on track and we will all together how inflation falls every month in this country from December onwards. Things will be better.”

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced official inflation of 61.14 percent which should be higher according to independent (unbiased) social scientists. However, Nebati added a new one to his forecasts in this environment where records have been broken in inflation.

Speaking at the Independent Association of Industrialists and Businessmen (MUSIAD) event, Nebati said that although the effects of the epidemic had decreased, there continued to be serious problems in supply, oil prices, and the supply of goods, and prices had risen everywhere.

Regarding inflation he said, “We will all see together how inflation will fall every month in this country from December onwards. Things will be better.”

People have difficulty in making ends meet every month

In the meantime, Turkey continues to struggle with the biggest inflation in the last 20 years and people are unable to provide their food properly, due to poverty.
