First cherry of the season sold in Manisa for 800 TL per kilo

CHERRY IN MANISA TURKEY

The kilo of the first early cherry of the season harvested in Manisa found a buyer for 800 TL. The first harvest of the early cherry, known as “red gold”, was made in the garden of Yavuz Tun in the Şehzadeler neighborhood in Manisa. In the first harvest, 120 kilograms of “cristobalina” type cherries were collected.

An auction was held at the cherry market for the first cherry of the season. Some prominent persons of the district participated in the auction in which cherries were sold for 800 TL per kg. The first harvest was bought by the merchant Hüseyin Çimen.
