The Liberian-flagged cargo ship “Primus,” which departed from the Port of Odessa, set sail for the Bulgarian city of Varna. Following Russia’s unilateral withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Corridor Agreement last month, the second cargo ship bound for the Black Sea from the Port of Odessa in Ukraine has departed.

The Liberian-flagged cargo ship “Primus,” which departed from the Port of Odessa, set sail for the Bulgarian city of Varna.

Russia claims the right to target ships traveling to or from Ukraine, alleging that these ships carry weapons and pose a “potential threat.”

Ukraine has decided to evacuate stranded ships from the port and, for this purpose, the first ship to leave was the Hong Kong-flagged cargo ship named “Joseph Schulte,” which departed from the Port of Odessa on August 17th.
