Foreign minister of Armenia: We are ready to open borders with Turkey

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that they were ready to establish diplomatic relations with Turkey and open borders.

Turkey has not had diplomatic relations with Armenia since 1991 due to the dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia has not had. The borders have also been closed.

During this course, Turkey, which stipulated the return of Azerbaijani lands occupied by Armenians, including Nagorno-Karabakh, also wanted Armenia to renounce the recognition of the Armenian genocide.

Two years ago, Armenian and Azerbaijani forces had clashed in Nagorno-Karabakh for more than a month, as a result of which an armistice was signed with the participation of Russia and Turkey, and some regions had come under Azerbaijani control.

In another headline that Turkey disputes, US President Joe Biden had recognized the massacres and deportations of Armenians that began in 1915 as the “Armenian genocide” last year, and Armenia had made a major diplomatic gain.
