Forest fire breaks out in Dardanelles
A fire has broken out in a forested area in the Bayramic district of Çanakkale.
As quoted by news agencies, the cause of the fire which broke out near the village of Dagoba, has not yet been determined. The flames, which grew under the influence of strong winds, moved from a residential area around the village of Beaters to a remote area.
The Çanakkale Forest Regional Directorate and Bayramiç Forest Management Directorate teams have started work to control the fire.
Large number of workers have intervened with 15 tankers and five water tankers.
