German tourist drowns in the sea in Antalya

A German tourist who entered the sea at the beach of a hotel where he was vacationing in Antalya’s Manavgat has died.
Erika Glimm, an 87-year-old German national vacationing at a hotel in the Kızılağaç Tourism Region of Manavgat, Antalya, experienced a drowning incident while swimming at the hotel’s beach.
The elderly tourist, who was rescued from the sea by hotel staff and other tourists, could not be saved despite the first aid administered and was pronounced dead at a private hospital where she was taken.
The body of the German tourist has been sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death. It has been reported that Glimm’s body will be sent to her home country after the procedures here are completed.
