Governorship of Istanbul announces figures for fight against drugs
The Governorship of Istanbul has announced the figures for the fight against drugs: 42 thousand 442 operations in 10 months and 6 thousand 103 arrests.
The Governorship of Istanbul announced that the police, gendarmerie, coast guard and customs teams had carried out 42,442 operations in 10 months and 6,103 suspects had been arrested as part of the fight against drug and substance addiction.
In concerned operations, 841 kg of heroin, 6,821 thousand kilograms of marijuana, 739 kg of cocaine, 545 kg bonzai, 4,639 kilograms of methamphetamine and other drugs such as 22 million ecstasy-captagon tablets were seized by security forces.
