Greece bans yachts belonging to Turkish citizens to visit Greek islands and coast

It is observed that the number of corona virus cases has been climbing in Greece, in recent days. It is now reported that the Greek Yachting Authority has announced that yachts belonging to citizens of all countries, including the EU and third countries, would be able to visit Greek islands and coasts, whereas ”Macedonia, Albania and Turkey are not among the countries allowed to use Greek ports”.
Greek government spokesman announced yesterday his country’s covid-19 normalization process due to take effect from August 1. Following this announcement, the Greek yachting Authority announced rules for private cruising yachts to be effective as of August 16th.
The announcement said, “Yachts belonging to all countries, including the EU and third countries, can visit Greek islands and coasts. Macedonia and Turkey are not among the countries allowed to enter”.
