Ground operation imminent: Israel intensifies buildup near Gaza border

While the Israeli army continues its relentless air strikes on the Gaza Strip held by Hamas, it is also preparing for a ground operation.According to Al Jazeera, the number of troops deployed to the border has approached 100,000.

Hamas’ military wing, the Izzeddin Kassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack called “Aqsa Tempest” against Israel on the morning of October 7th. Thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, and armed groups entered residential areas. In response, Israel began bombing the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated, “We are at war.”

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant ordered a complete encirclement of the Gaza Strip; electricity, fuel, and food supplies were cut off. Immediately after that, water supply also began to be cut off.

GROUND OPERATION APPROACHING

Israel is also preparing for a ground operation. For this purpose, a buildup of troops and armored vehicles, including tanks, has been intensified along the border.

According to Al Jazeera, the number of troops deployed to the border has approached 100,000. Bulldozers belonging to the Israeli army are digging new trenches in the region. The barrels of the artillery and howitzers placed in the area are pointed towards Gaza. As part of the mobilization, 300,000 reserve soldiers have been called up for duty.
