Health Minister Koca: A ‘single doctor’ will take care of citizens over age of 85

Health Minister Koca has announced that they will put into operation a single physician practice for patients over the age of 85. Speaking at the budget negotiations, Koca reported that the preparations were completed and they would announce it soon.

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca answered the opinions and criticisms of deputies on the budget of his ministry for the year 2023 at the Grand National Assembly session.

Explaining that a new program would start for citizens over the age of 85, Koca said: “We are starting a new program for our elders, who need compassion. We want to entrust each of our citizens older than 85 years to a single physician. With our new regulation, our seniors will now be closely monitored and guided by a single physician while receiving health care. This is a responsibility on all of us. We all deserve such treatment when we reach those days with good health. We have made our preparations in this regard. We will announce it soon.”
