Health Minister Koca: It’s difficult to identify between covid and fluenza due to similar symptoms
Noting that people are confused between the Corona virus and other upper respiratory tract infections, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced they would introduce a new health screening.
CHINA IS VERY STRICT, THE SITUATION IS DIFFERENT WITH US
Fahrettin Koca, who was asked his opinion on the quarantine practices carried out in China due to the Corona virus, made the following statements:
– China has been implementing very strict quarantine rules from the very beginning. This is the method of struggle of the Chinese state. With us, the situation is different. Cases, in 3 thousand in Turkey. I don’t think there will be a big increase in the coming period either. There will never be a situation where we take measures like in China. You know, the scientific studies of our Turkovac vaccine have entered the world scientific literature. Many of our studies have been published in reputable, international journals. We have a safe, effective and reliable vaccine. Those who are in the risk group of our citizens can have our Turkovac vaccine without hesitation.
IT WILL BE ACTIVATED IN A MONTH
– Cases of Influenza (flu) and RSV are more intense when the Corona virus and other upper respiratory tract infections are mixed together. We will now look at a triple respiratory panel in our scans. In other words, with a single kit, influenza A, influenza B, Covid-19 and RSV will be looked at at the same time. Now, when there is an upper respiratory tract infection, whether it is Covid, RSV, influenza A or B, whichever it is, we will have the opportunity to learn from the domestic production kit and widely use it.
– It will probably be activated in a month, it will be used in the relevant hospitals. I have commissioned the Presidency of the Turkish Institutes of Health on this issue. By evaluating the domestic opportunities, a domestic multipathogen test kit will be produced in our country and will be widely used in a very short time.
