Turkey’s Health Minister Koca says number of severe patients has increased by 8 fold

Health Minister Dr. FAHRETTIN KOCA answered questions forwarded by lawmakers at the Parliamentary Plan and Budget Commission during discussions on his ministry’s 2021 budget. Among many issues he referred to he also shared following crucial information:

Since July 29, our number of seriously ill patients has increased by 8 fold. Doesn’t that warn our citizens and you? Number of our severe patients is increasing 8 times. Does the number of people who have no symptoms at home, who are not a burden to the hospital matter to you? During this period, make sure about something; All our citizens were monitored, even if they were positive and had no symptoms. Filiation was carried out. All our citizens were called by phone. All our citizens were registered into the HES code.”
