Turkey’s Ministry of Health announces highest daily Covid-19 fatalities, with 139 deaths

Latest data on the outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19) was announced on the website of Turkey’s Ministry of Health. The ministry said 155,516 tests had been carried out in the last 24 hours and 6,017 new patients had been identified. It also shared that 139 people had died and 3,812 patients had recovered.

According to the ministry statement, the total number of Covid-19 patients was 446,822 and the number of people who died had reached 12,358.

4,217 seriously ill patients exist currently, while the rate of pneumonia in patients is 3.8 percent. The total number of recovering patients is 374,637.

The Ministry also shared that bed occupancy rate across Turkey was 54.7 percent; intensive care occupancy rate was 70.8 percent whereas ventilator occupancy rate was 37.6 percent. The Ministry said filiation rate was 99.6 percent and average contact detection time was 11 hours.
