Hot and Sunny Bayram Ahead: Summer Temperatures to Dominate Across Turkey

According to Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen, summer temperatures will dominate across Turkey during the upcoming Bayram holiday, which starts on Wednesday, June 5. Most of the country is expected to see clear skies with little to no rain throughout the holiday.
Coastal Cities Like Antalya and İzmir to Exceed 35°C
Coastal cities like İzmir and Antalya will likely see temperatures exceeding 35°C, while Istanbul will experience consistent heat above 30°C.
Although there was an earlier forecast suggesting rain in the southern and central regions during the third and fourth days of Bayram, that expectation has mostly disappeared. The current outlook points to dry and hot weather across the country. There might be a slight temperature drop of around 3 to 4 degrees in the southern regions, but it will still remain above 30°C.
For this coming weekend, June 1 and 2, there may be short-term rainfall in parts of Anatolia and Istanbul. These showers are considered beneficial, especially for agriculture in central regions.
After this weekend, more stable summer weather is expected to settle in, particularly in Istanbul, where temperatures are likely to stay above 30°C for at least a week to ten days. Prof. Şen also warned people to be cautious about sun exposure and the risk of heatstroke during this period.
