Turkey’s 2024 targets for Denmark were announced at the international Feri For Alle Herning Fair held in Denmark. Turkey, which hosted 320,000 Danish visitors in 2023, aims to reach 350,000 visitors in 2024. The Alanya stand received great interest from visitors at the Feri For Alle Tourism Fair held in Herning, Denmark, between February 23-25.

Officials representing Alanya at the fair stated, “As ALTAV, we attended the Feri For Alle Tourism Fair in Herning, Denmark, on February 22-24, 2024. Feri For Alle, included in the fair calendar by TGA this year, is the largest consumer fair held in the Scandinavian countries. Visitors from all over Denmark made holiday purchases at tour operators’ and agencies’ stands throughout the fair from the first day and first hours. The total number of visitors during the three-day fair was around 60,000. It is stated that holiday decisions are made at this fair.

“Alanya stand was flooded with visitors”

There was intense interest in the Alanya stand, and visitors to the Turkey stand during the fair received information and materials about Turkey and the tourism destinations and products it offers.

Sales in the Alanya Region are reported to be good and above a certain level.

Corendon plans to bring 35,000 tourists from Denmark to Turkey this year. This year’s planning represents a 35% increase over the 25,000 figure realized last year. Corendon’s summer operation from Denmark will take place between May 8 and October 27.

“The goal is to exceed 350,000 in Denmark”

In 2023, 330,000 people came to Turkey from Denmark. The figure was announced as 350,000 the previous year. The target for 2024 is to exceed 350,000 again. Denmark stands out among the other Scandinavian countries with some distinctive features. While other Northern European countries are more influenced by political developments and news in the media, Danes do not attach as much importance to these factors when making holiday choices as citizens of other countries. Turkey is a destination that Danes remain loyal to and are happy to spend their holidays in.
