The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ruled on the request for provisional measures in the case brought by South Africa against Israel for “genocide” in Gaza.

The ICJ rejected Israel’s request to dismiss the case and demanded Israel to stop the killings, although it did not issue a ceasefire call. The court found the allegations against Israel to be reasonable and ordered Israel to take all necessary measures to prevent genocide in Gaza.

These measures include ceasing military operations, preventing actions that could lead to genocide, ensuring access to humanitarian aid, punishing those involved in genocide, preserving evidence, and providing regular reports to the Court.

The ICJ emphasized the urgent danger of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and noted the possibility of the situation worsening before a final decision is made.
